HI BHW,
How can I prevent my backlinks from being detected against competitors through Ahrefs?

You can block the bot via .htaccess.

However, you would need to have access on the source of link. This is usually done only on PBN.

You can only block their bot from crawling websites you have access to. If you don't have access to the sites linking to yours, you won't be able to block them unfortunately.
