Let's say I'm making videos about Chelsea FC, but the videos are reaching Arsenal fans and they are disliking my videos and commenting shit

How could I make YouTube algorithm realize my real target audience? Obviously, keywords on title, description and suggestive thumbnail are already being used.

The biggest thing is: YouTube doesn’t really target audiences based on your keywords. It learns from viewer behavior. If Arsenal fans are being shown your videos, it’s probably because YouTube thinks those viewers are likely to click/watch based on the topic, packaging, or their viewing history.

try building a few videos around very specific chelsea topics that can help attract the kind of viewers you actually want

Keep going, eventually they will identify your audience, meanwhile ironize haters...dislikes are useless, this has not been a relevant major metric for many years

If your channel is Chelsea-focused, upload mostly Chelsea content. Mixing Chelsea + Arsenal + random football can confuse recommendations

In youtube world. No engagement is bad engagement. People are engaging wwith your video that's a good metric. And if we talk about your audience, you can try creating some video on Chelsea topic and promote your specific videos around them. This will get your desired audience. However youtube purely works on user behaviour. you cannot choose your audience. It's your content that will get your relevant audience. But you can always try certain things like mentioned above.

you could also study which traffic sources bring the wrong crowd and adjust the videos that are triggering those recommendations

Keep your niche focused and post consistently enough that YouTube gets enough signals about who might be interested in your content.

That's very correct. The type of viewers that watch your videos have probably shown some interest in watching a similar video on another channel.

Yes they watch his content in order to dislike it.

As @cloudvault has already said YouTube pushes your videos to those that click on it the most.

You're not getting the right feedback, even though it's not quite right for your target audience. Your problem is that you need to build more diverse content to attract more people and reach your target audience more accurately.

I think you should block sensitive words related to Arsenal or insulting language in your community settings and avoid responding to negative comments to prevent YouTube from misinterpreting them as high engagement. Continue posting new clips without mentioning the opponent's name.

Maybe make the content signals more specific instead of relying only on keywords. Consistent Chelsea topics and studying Audience Analytics should gradually help YouTube find similar viewers.

Channels must have a particular topic, a specific title and thumbnail design, and a high level of engagement for YouTube’s algorithm to recognize what my channel is about.
