How can I make sure Adsense Ads don't appear on video?

I don't want any Google ads getting in the way of my videos and my own calls to action.

I've noticed that with music, Youtube often puts an ad offering to buy the music. Any ideas how to avoid this from being displayed?

Don't use copyright material and you wont get ads

What about public domain e.g. classical. Might that still cause ads to appear for people who have derivative works?

Don't you have to sign the video up to the revenue share program to get ads on your videos?

If you don't sign up on the video share program you videos will be ad free, I receive several adsense emails about they want to put adsense on my videos (very popular) but I prefer my videos ad free, those ads just make you a few cents, my videos make more money than that. So, dont sign up for adsense revenue sharing, or if you already do it, just cancel it.
