How can I make small money? Any tips are welcome...

Before I begin, I'd like to explain my story, and also thank you in advance for the time that you generously spend with me.

I am 26 and I live with my girlfriend for several years now. We have a very happy emotional relationship, full of understanding and love. Unfortunately, she suffers from ankylosing spondylitis, making her unable to work. She is really trying to at least do some of the usual daily chores such as cleaning the house and doing the dishes, but even that is a struggle for her. I have a full-time job and I've been paying the bills so far. I really love taking care of her and I NEVER (even for a moment) thought that it's unfair for me to do all the work. However, lately due to expenses for her treatment and regular utility bills rising, it's been increasingly hard for me to meet end with end. For that reason I started looking into ways to generate additional income. I have had some success on Fiverr but it's very unstable, sometimes there are weeks without any orders and sometimes I get orders every day.

So I'm asking you - the experts - if you could help me with tips, guides or anything at that matter that will make our life easier. I know absolutely nothing on SEO. I do know how to scrape stuff from the web. I can gather, filter and clean proxies. I can do the same with e-mails. I am very experienced in web security and can do anything from basic pentesting to bulletproofing a site as well as other services, as long as they're legal. I am proficient in system automation and I can make Macro Scheduler dance on a pole if needed.

I two accounts on fiverr, one that offers several IT services such as checking if your hash is cracked, filtering and cleaning e-mails, doing a basic pentest on a website etc. The other account offers several types of proxy services, ranging from personal lists to public lists, filtered lists (by port or country) and so on.

Although sales have been OK on the pentest gigs, everything else is frozen to standstill. So this is where I'm asking for your help. I'm just looking to make additional $5 or $10 per day, nothing more. It will be plenty to at least get the bills off my back so that I can focus on my hubby's health more.

Your English language is fluent, try article writing and selling it on the forum and fiverr here.

From my own experience, it is much more easier to make money from article writing than any other service.

Create a BST and offer free review for 10 people.

Other form of making income online require skills and take time to build.

You can try affiliate marketing like amazon, click bank. commission junction and others.

E.t.c when your income start flowing from article writing. The entire concept of making money is just common and application and don't be afraid to fail because if you don't try you can barely tell if it will work.

Also, focus on doing something in the offline world, making money online is not for people who are in dare need of it because it can take a while.

Like John has said above article writing should be pretty easy. As you get used to it writing an article becomes a 15-30minute job, so for an hour a day you can get that extra $10 you are looking for.

Content will always be the true daddy of SEO, so people will never stop needing it.

I'd love to give Article writing a go, but I have no idea where to sell them. Other than Fiverr, no reputable marketplace will accept my country for business. I never tried it on Fiverr because I felt it was oversaturated but if you say I have a chance, I'll definitely try it.

As for the other methods -- like you said, they require time OR a large money investment. I am OK with investing a reasonable amount of money but having no experience in those areas, I figure it will be a doomed project. In order to have success on Adsense and Site flipping, you really need to be an expert in these areas. At least from what I read from articles here on BHW.

Offline earnings are something I'm doing already. I freelance for projects whenever I can. I fotgot to mention that I am an expert in 3D architectural design, so people often approach me with different smaller projects such as kitchen/lodge designs etc. I am really giving my best but in a country with a crappy economy such as mine, it's really hard to get anywhere. Just as an example, the average salary here is $250/month. I work as a manager in an IT company, which is considered medium/high class job and I still make $450/month. That should give you an idea on how much work people here need to do for next to no money at all.

Have your girlfriend do Pinterest marketing. She'll love it, seriously. Here's how to do it:

1) sign up for Amazon affiliate account (do it through hubpages if you don't have a site)
2) sign up for Pinterest
3) create a list of all Pinterest categories
4) pin one item from Amazon (with affiliate code) to each category
5) create new Pinterest account and repeat many many times

Thank you so much.. Even though I am not experienced in Pinterest or amazon affiliate, I think that she can do this. Biggest problem is that she cannot be on a computer chair for too long (her illness causes massive pain) but anything will help, even if she brings $1/day at home.

Just on a side note, how do you even get a pinterest account? Isn't it "invite only"? Moreover, do you think that it's possible to maybe automate this? I am really good at automating my computer, I can get it to do almost anything. I just don't know if it's worth the effort/possible/legal even.

You should automate the account creation but for the best results with this method, she should do the pinning manually. She should pick out items that she likes and write a sentence about them. That womanly touch is what will separate her from all the men who are trying to game Pinterest. But she shouldn't over-analyze what to pin. The more she pins the better she'll do.

Besides article writing, you can scrape up a few articles, spin them (making sure they're readable), add up a few images and youtube videos, and post them on revenue sharing web 2.0s. (Squidoo, HubPages, InfoBarrel etc...) I personally have a few web 2.0 properties that pays a little but enough to cover my bills every month. They might need a little time and SEO for them to earn though.

But hey if you really need upfront payments, do article writing. With a fluent english like that, you can earn significant money over your free time. 1. Got a pinterest account. Thanks LBrown for that. Explained to my girlfriend how to use it and how the money making concept works. While she's exploring and learning how to use Pinterest, I'll do more research in Amazon affiliate. I doubt they'll accept my country but hey, costs nothing to try...

2. Got access to a good iWriter account which is already to Elite level. Thanks banchi08 for that.

3. Wrote a $5 (500 words) article. It conforms the buyer's rules. Although it's still pending, I have a good feeling that it's gonna be accepted. If it does, bingo! My daily goal will be reached.

4. Also started offering article writing services on Fiverr. 500-600 words in 7 days, copyscape pass guaranteed. Am I offering too little/too much for the money?

Article writing is actually easy. At first glance I thought that 500 words would mean less text but hey, I wrote it in about 15 minutes. If it gets accepted, it will be the easiest $5 I ever made. I'm just probing this market today, if everything goes smoothly I think I can write 10-15 of these articles every day, no problem. I found that the first 2 sentences are the most difficult. After that words just came pouring like a flash flood.

Just on a side note, what's the usual price for a quality 500 word article? I'd love to have some more information on this since I see a lot of different prices. Some people offer as little as $2 and some people offer over $10 for the same word count.

Well you get what you pay for as with anything. The standard around here seems to be $5 or $6.

Just don't get all excited and try 2 many different things. Just focus on writing, let your girl get into pinterest and you should be ok.
As for Pinterest, you can also sell clickbank products (recipe books for example).

I'm already on oDesk. I'm offering some 3D designing services but not having any feedback and reputation, it's hard to get a job. I had some success there but from my experience, out of 50 applications I realistically get 1 job if I'm lucky.

To continue my previous quote, I'm not proficient at programming so that's not an option for me. However, I agree - 3D design is amazingly well paid. While at it, I strongly suggest that you guys tap into that market. Outsource 3D designers, resell their services. A typical average house 3D visualization can cost well over $2000. You can probably find someone to do it for $1500. Heck, I would...

Just imagine if you find a client that wants a whole corporate building visualization... You could make a profit of $5000 easy.

Thanks a bunch dudes, thanks to this thread I'm already getting back on my feet. I wrote a pinterest bot for my girlfriend which performs auto-follow slowly, simulating a real user. Then after a few days it performs auto-unfollow to those people that haven't followed back. Right now we have about 600-700 real human followers I think. She is manually posting interesting content just to get a good audience. Then she will slowly start inserting affiliate links among the pins. We decided not to spam right away since people will notice that and start going away. This way we create an image of ourselves as interesting pin posters. After we get the people's trust, an affiliate link now and then won't hurt I guess.

It's like having a site overflown with ads. Rarely anyone would visit that site. However, if you provide good content, an ad here and there won't get the people angry, right?

Also I started offering article services on Fiverr. So far so good, I got several in queue and I even completed some and got positive feedback. Things are looking good for us

Since you are great in automation ......

offer your pintrest bot. I am sure you can sell it y couple of times here.

I suggest sticking with the fiverr,and pinterest.

If you do to much you will find your self frustrated.But in the future you should do the article writing professionally, and sell your services for more in different places(like on this forum), and maybe even make a website.

That market has a lot of loyal customers since black/white hatters always need there content.
