Hi, I'd like to know if anyone has any knowledge of how to make money with Python, SQL, Web/Data Scraping, Data Analysis, Data Warehousing, and Excel skills that doesn't involve going to Upwork (I've tried, but there's too much competition, even though my services are relatively cheap). I've done some research and seen people trying temp agencies, but there are varying opinions about each agency. So, do you know of any ways to make money with these skills that I don't know about?

Have you tried Affiliate marketing? If you're already scraping leads, you can sign up for affiliate programs. When people buy through your link, you earn a commission.

Find related keywords that align with your skills. Build a simple website to offer your services worldwide and rank it (Search Engine). Use SEO and social media to get clients and sell your skills. Just Try Bro.

One way you can make money with those skills is by freelancing on websites like Freelancer.com or Fiverr. These platforms have a wide range of projects that require Python, SQL, web scraping, data analysis, data warehousing, and Excel skills. Additionally, you can reach out to small businesses or startups in need of data-related services and offer your expertise directly. Building a strong portfolio of past projects can also help you attract more clients.

Your best bet is freelancing platforms. You can also apply for remote jobs, there are multiple websites with remote job listings. You'll only get entry level jobs if you don't have any experience though.

Maybe offering your services on forums for a cheaper rate .And yes freelancing sites are competitive and very hard to start for a beginner

Focus on a micro product for 1 month: for example, “Python airfare scraper + dashboard” and Post it on Product Hunt, Reddit, LinkedIn, Gumroad — no need for immediate customers, but can build credibility and get organic jobs after a few weeks

Offer niche data services (e.g., scraping leads, sales dashboards) directly to small businesses via email or LinkedIn.
Sell Excel templates, Python tools, or data products on Etsy, Gumroad, or your own site.
Teach or share your skills on YouTube or TikTok and monetize with products or affiliate links.

My expertise is monetizing skills like yours. You’re exactly the kind of person who would benefit from my method. Check out my sales thread, take a look, and decide for yourself. I’ve been doing this for 14 years already.

To make money using your skills in Python, SQL, Web/Data Scraping, Data Analysis, Data Warehousing, and Excel, consider these alternative methods to freelancing platforms like Upwork:
Freelance on niche platforms
Create and sell data-driven products, like dashboards, reports, or web scraping tools.
Teach and create content by offering courses on Udemy, writing e-books, or starting a YouTube channel.

You can try freelance sites and show off your skills. It's a good way to get noticed and land your first job.

Yes, exactly! Freelance sites like Upwork, Fiverr, or Freelancer are great to:

Show your skills

Build a portfolio

Get your first clients

Start small, deliver quality, and grow from there.

I haven't actually tried it. Is that about scraping emails and then sending ads through them? I'll do my own research anyway. Although that would be more of a long-term plan than a short-term one I guess.

Yes, in fact, entry-level is what I'm looking for to start entering the industry, but there's a lot of competition in these places.

I also thought this might be a good start, and I'm currently trying it out with several Reddit subs. Do you know of any other sites or forums for this?

Not a bad skill set tbh. You could easily stack gigs on Fiverr or Upwork doing basic landing pages + SEO audits for starters. Another play-cold DM local businesses offering cheap site makeovers or content packages -most of them have awful sites and no clue about SEO. Charge low-mid ticket at first just to get cash flow going. Once you have a few solid case studies, upsell bigger stuff like lead gen or content retainers.

You have to ask why people actually pay others to do this work. Cause they are investing in their own ideas? There is your key. Invest in your own ideas you recognise to make money, in the projects you can put forward for consumption.

Join some groups on telegram (could be OF related or other niche ), see what people need ask them if u can do it for them or partner up :)

I think this is a good idea. However, this would be more long-term than short-term, I guess?
