Hey guys I'm looking to create a site like this where people are able to upload content very easily. I'm very used to using worpdress to build sites but this seems like it's built from scratch. can someone guide me through the right direction? Thanks!

A lot of pre built mvc frameworks are there to create a light weight web application like this, you can learn those easily through their docs if you have programming language knowledge.

If you're referring to file hosting, there are a lot of complete scripts that are available for purchase. You can just customize the feel of the website and that's it. I'm not going to recommend one as I'm not sure which one is best, but I've read on BHW before about other blackhatters recommending such scripts.

If you dedicated about a month (a few hours a day) to learning HTML/CSS/JavaScript and a very minimal amount of PHP/SQL you could write something like this from the ground up. It's fairly a fairly simple website. Sending images from the database(rather, loading a file path from the database, and loading the image from the filesystem) is as simple as using base64 encoding and decoding. Same goes with file-hosting, but the encoding isn't really required.

Go to envato market and search for and intranet theme, theres a few good ones and will be able to do what you are looking for.

Oh yaar! For these you have to work hard.For these a great result is so turf. You have to follow someone who are expert in these field.Though like someone I can do it but I have no enough time to guide you.For these you have to wait up to 2017.Then I'll be free. you can buy similar scripts on codecanyon and just edit it a little to make it look unique. You can get one for under $30. Good luck.
