Hello everyone,

I have a technical blog (PR 4), I write like 1 post* / month... The colors and placements are very well optimized (CTR: ~ %2) which is good for a tech blog.

I get about 150 visitors / day... Here's my earnings in the past 5 months...

November 2010 - $10.31
December 2010 - $9.77
January 2011 - $5.73
February 2011 - $4.45
March 2011 - $10.03

I feel very disappointed that I can't even make $100 in 1 or 2 months and read something like this...
I know making $1,500 / months are not much but you'll... blah blah
Since $1,500 or whatever is not much, then I guess making $100 / month should not be hard? Now you know the situation of my site; Any ideas that might help?

THANKS!

I think the simple answer would be rinse and repeat then scale it up.

You could PM me the blog url and I'll see what I can suggest.

One blog post per month? Teddie, write more blog posts. Do proper keyword research and pick some new technology topics which you feel will get more search in future. Populate more unique content. You will get more visitors and so more earnings..

Sorry I meant 1 post* / month... I already have "blogging more" on my to-do list.

just go for autoblogs

No, don't do this. Keep writing original unique content. Your numbers seem about right for what you're making and earning. You need traffic for AdSense to work. That's why you see people create mass amounts of AdSense blogs because it's easy to create a lot of blogs that receive small traffic, than it is to create few larger volume websites. AdSense, or Google for that matter, is a Quality and Quantity game.

I agree with mate.. Don't go for Autoblogs.. it was risky also it was 100% not safe..

I gave up on using adsense, i even tried using it for this site called imgzzz and i followed all the directions (which were vague in and of themself) and in the end i still havent made any money, the rate was supposed to be 10:1 each 10 views u got u got 1 hit paid. I think tats how it went, so far i got images with other 1000 views, and i got nothing from it,

Don't know why you're complaining. Tech niches don't get many adsense clicks because the people browsing are competent and understand what adsense is.

Same for my main wesbite, its a gaming site, that's getting about 5000 uniques a day, I get $1 from adsense a day at best. It's ridiculous, but those guys just don't click ads.

It looks like you picked the wrong industry to Monetize Adsense in. Various industries will have Various eCMP's. Might want to reassess your game plan then. Even if you multiplied your traffic by 5x, looks like you are not going to hit your goal.

Best bit of advise I can give you is to find a blog that kills it in Adsense (look around, you can find one) & reverse engineer it for another topic (similar).

Try incorporating amazon associates into your blog posts. Do a quick review of a product or somethin. I make more with amazon than I do with adsense. Adsense is just the icing on the cake for me.

The keywords being used to serve the adsense ads on your site are low-paying ones.

You might need to focus on high-paying keywords to write new content.

CTR tendencies fluctuate from niche to niche as do the demographics. 20-30 year old techsavvy people wont click your ads that easily. While 30-40 year olds tend to click on every link. Nex to the general keyword research its also important to do a quick demographic lookup on your competitors to see what sort of people you are dealing with.

A blog that kills it in Adsens? Mind to explain more?

I believe I'd reach my target or get to close if I'm getting 5,000 uniques with CTR %2 :)

More ideas please!

I have a tech blog as well... had it lying around for 2 years and maybe 7 posts during that period.

I started getting serious about this stuff a few months ago and have posted about 7 times since January-ish. I hit on a couple of the keywords (did keyword research before writing the posts) and I'm getting between 200-600 uniques per day.

The first few weeks my AdSense earnings were crap, $0.10 a click here and there, CTR was about 0.5%. I switched up ad positions and the theme and it's now closer to 1-2% CTR and $0.40 per click.

Some days are better than others, in fact today is my best day yet @ 10 clicks, 3.5% CTR, $4+. However what I'm excited about is that I've got a click everyday in the past 15-20 days. I never had a string of that many days before and it's definitely motivating me to do more.

I want to post about 1-2x per month as I work on other websites. As others say, the key is scaling.... I'm still very much a beginner but I'm starting to realize the power of scaling and putting in time to research the niches beforehand. My main limiting factor is the amount of content needed to effectively make a new website and promote it with link building.

Here is the solution, I guarantee 100% it will work.

Build up a site if you dont have one
Optimze the site for adsense and SEO
Build Backlinks for your keyword
Get money

It's really simple.

Join with another blogger like me.....share the work and revenue..Once the earnings are good enough hire people and part ways...It will work great..

anyone ready for this arrangement can pm me :)

I have good experience about articles with the adsense / cpa offer embedded on them. Try it.

In order to work, you need to reach visitor that converts writing good, targeted content:
Put yourself into your visitor shoes, ask yourself what they want to do(i mean buy) and blog it. Usually it works.
