I would like to divide $500 in two parts. One is for your investment choice and other one is to keep with you. Now, what and how would you invest? Long term or short term? How will it pay me? What source will it come? How to keep progress and sustain income? These are some few questions ask yourself after analyzing all the money making guide. Make sure do not place all your eggs into one bucket. I recommend you take guide from some one who is expert for your topics. I hope these will help you a lot.

I'd buy a premium wp theme and content, then drive free traffic to your site, do some kw research and start bulding links. You can start it from $100 and save the rest for later.

Can tell you not that easy! once you launch a new site you have to promote it, only with 2 option : put quality content and let the site grow naturally or pay for seo and rent backlinks.

It really depends on your skill right now, assuming you have some knowledge on SEO.

This is what i'm going to do:

I will perform a keyword research and find a keyword that has 1.5K - 3K search per month. (I'm talking about "buyer keyword" here like : best web hosting service review 2018)

After that i will buy a partial domain name & web hosting

Install wordpress on it

buy 1.5 high quality seo optimized content from trusted member/service here.

invest the remaining money for backlinks..

bottom line: it's always better to invest that money on the method/things that you know about

If you are expert in Instagram then work with brands on sponser post. any brands just can't compete with that and so they partner with influencers instead to do sponsored posts that help get the word out about their products.
