Do both.
Right now it's either these:
1) Recording a full day of my real work to see the entire spectrum, as well as that speed and efficiency is key. The type of tasks I do, routines, tackle problems and expand my company and team.
2) Another idea is to start an entirely made up persona/brand and get clients. I think a lot of members here do some sort of freelancing but have the wrong approach to getting clients, doing prior research and selling yourself to companies. I genuinely think I can get $1000+ of orders all within 24 hours, starting from scratch. That could be interesting too.
What do you guys think?
Could I be so greedy and vote for you to do both?^ Bumping this. What's your thoughts on it?
Both would be fine but if I must choose one I would say do number 2. A lot of us would like to see what we are doing wrong and the right approach to do research and sell ourselves to companies etc^ Bumping this. What's your thoughts on it?

Well, how will recording a full day of IM be showing off? It's not like I will be buying stuff online or logging into bank accounts - just managing team, replying to emails, coding, expanding the business. I do a great variety of tasks in a day and I believe that's something many can learn from, especially people afraid to dive into areas they're not comfortable with.
I'm not offended by your comment or anything - I just want to understand what you meant. Any feedback is needed, as that what this thread is all about![]()
I need to earn money but I don't know how to start ...???I'm on this forum to get inspiration and motivation - both of which I get on a daily basis.
I want to give back to the community. I've done AMA, journey threads and try to help as much as possible.
I want to do more. But I'm not sure what and how.
I'm a pretty successful IMer. I make good money, I live comfortable. My background is in coding but the majority of my tasks today is just making sure all of my companies are progressing forward. I'm experienced in ads, SEO, business management, team building and programming.
How can I provide more to you, the members? There's nothing I love more than seeing other people succeed, but spoon-feeding methods doesn't work for obvious reasons.
Got any ideas? Record a full day of work? Another AMA thread? More journies? What would motivate you to get off your ass and get some work done?
A start would be spending a day reading as many forum posts from users who post quality content like OP... Check out the different sections on the forum.I need to earn money but I don't know how to start ...???

I'd be more interested in watching you create a brand from scratch and get clients, since I'm currently doing exactly that.
What would your budget be?

This would add more value than a lot of instructional threads, ebooks, guru scams, AMAs (which I really am not a fan of) and a whole gaggle of other things we encounter.
It would teach guys how to make a living online... lots of people have skills but do not know what to do with them.
It would then give buyers more opportunities to hire freelancers with decent needed skills.
It would give those that buy from THOSE buyers more value.
I only pointed out three levels but the trickle down/up/sideways of that sort of thing would grow our industry exponentially.
Between those two, i would also prefer option 2.
I’d choose option number 2. I also really enjoyed your case study for Black Friday and think case studies are very beneficial to the forum.
Noted. I'll go ahead and do that.
This will be the general setup and budget. It will be targeting SEO consultant as I believe anyone who spends 2 weeks reading will be able to provide a lot of SEO value to smaller companies - meaning anyone can replicate this.
Domain Name - $5
Will show the hunt for a good and suiting domain name, using tools that are free.
SEO Tools - $10
I will be using a bundle of tools I already have (Ahrefs, SimilarWeb, Keyword Tools). There are private bundle groups out there that offer this for $10/month, but I can't share those according to their rules.
Instagram Manager - $0
Because I will record the screen, I'll use FollowPlanner to setup the Instagram account. This can of course be free if you just do it from your phone.
Grammarly - $0
Just to make sure the grammar is on point for the emails
ThemeForest - $0
Will show the hunt for the perfect theme, and also how you get them for free (I advice on buying - but for the very low budget people)
Will most likely need to divide it up into two parts, as I will be doing a lot of cold emailing and replies could take some time. But as you can see it'll all be on a very tight budget - less than $15.
The goal is to at least generate $500 worth of sales in under 24 hours (might be split into 2 videos though). The majority of the time will be spent on setup (website, email templates, instagram, theme, domain etc).
Will do in January 2019! Exciting!

You see when you have money a lot of things get easier.
I'd like to see someone like you work on a set budget a newbie here has.
Let's say $1k dollars.
Start a journey,
you cannot use a single dollar more than the set limit.
you cannot use paid tools you already have
you cannot use the influence you already have via other businesses
you cannot hire anyone unless you are paying with that said limit
Let's see, how you make decisions when you are limited like this.
