How can I get notified when a fan page posts?

I would be interested in getting some sort of notification when a few fan pages of my choosing post a status update. Any suggestions on how this can be done or if some sort of bot/script is needed?

You can make an account, like just that page, and have notifications to email or phone.

There are numerous ways of doing this.
