Sign up with any shared hosting provider and 99.9% of time you will be given cpanel access. (Free of course)
If you are on VPS or Dedi then you won't get this for free.
Zpanel is an alternative but is known to come along with hacking threats.

You will get a free trial of cpanel for 15 days, after that you have to buy valid license of cpanel.

Thanks for the information, but I want free cpanel for the dedicated server.
Avoid zPanel (aka Sentora) like the plague!
No need for the threats, it has more security holes than a block of swiss cheese. Rack911 released an announcement just this week on their security audit where they gave up 30 minutes in as there was so many basic security issues it was pointless to proceed any further ahead.
Its not going to happen, the best you are do it get a "free" license from your vendor when you purchase the dedicated server (Its already baked into the price ofc).

cPanel/WHM uses IP Based licensing method. There's no way to get free license in a legit way.
If you are looking for a reliable panel, you can try VestaCP. It's easy to install as well. Just two lines of command.

Works like a charm compared to Plesk and cPanel.

I guess their marketing strategy is better.
For a VPS, dedicated server will be at least double.
Either order shared hosting with a known provider, (not HostGator since they are unreliable), you will not be able to get a WHM license any other way since it is a premium product.
zPanel (aka Sentora) is a terrible option.
It has more security holes than you can shake a stick at and the main developer just left the community.

Yes Zpanel is not the good solution, if you are going to use the panel for professional use.
