How Can I Drive Traffic From YouTube

I have been uploading videos to YouTube and linking back to my blog in the information section under the video. This hasn't really garnered any hits on my blog though.

I have also posted my links in the comment sections of relevant videos. Does this hurt my SEO? How can I get more hits from YouTube?

Is the calls-to-action (CTAs) in your videos compelling enough for people to want to click the link to your blog? Also, is the link to your blog in the first sentence of the video description? Many people don't bother to click the Show More link (or don't realize that it can be clicked) to reveal the whole description. Moreover, putting the link to your blog in the first sentence (preferably at the very start) ensures that it will be shown under the video's thumbnail in search results, both on Google and YouTube.

Thank you for this information. I have been putting it at the end sometimes. I'll try placing it at the beginning and see if that helps at all. I'll also try to use more calls to action.

To get the hits, you can buy through the adder view video.
But if you want to view the natural, you have to upload the video were nice and attract the visitor's eye youtube.

if you have to use annotations in the video, a lot of ppl don't check the info box, unless you state in the beginning to check it out.

Very true. And stating it at the beginning of the video risks people leaving YouTube prematurely, thus affecting the all important watch time.
