I have a fitness youtube channel, and 2 other members of my team are posting videos, I am the head honcho, as the brand is my baby. My team members constantly throw my name out there and I have yet to be seen, I have a calling card. I use an app on the iphone to cover my face with a cat picture in images on forums and such, which is how we build our audience. I would like to continue this theme on Youtube. So how can I use an image to track my face while in video? Would a free program be able to do this? Thank you!

This is the cat face I use and would like to emulate, thanks again!

Thank you for the fast replys!

A regular mask would be strange lol I'm looking to just use the image. I'm sure I could somehow paste the image, and if I were to move out of its frame, adjust it. I plan on using a bunch of different cat pictures

What is this process called? I had such a struggle coming up with terms and such in Google. That is what led me to finally post, I had no clue how to find it haha I'm positive if I simply had the correct verbatim I would be well on my way collecting the images. Thank you for bringing me closer to the answer!

Sony Vegas would do the trick. You would need to create a layer above the movie file and manually position the cat face over your own. A bit time consuming, but the best way to do it imho.

Yes, that is true it offers a level of detachment, but connection can also come from within, the blind still trust. Your feed back offers a lot of truth to it that I have strongly considered. This move is temporary, It is really just a marketing tool for me. I am still considering doing specific types of videos 'cat-faceless' such as when I am actually active, and not in front of a camera.

Sony Vegas takes wayyyyyyyy to long, and doesn't look professionally(looks like you have an professional chanal), go with After effects with motion tracker, that will do it quick and good, that's the only thing i hate about Vegas, that it didn't come with that feature

I'd rather do this myself, I will be doing it too much for fivver, that normally is a good route for about anything!
Thank you all for the fast help so late at night, YouTube links and some personal experience delivered. Kick butt forum. Should have posted sooner!

yea you can do motion tracking with After Effects. Or you can use automation in programs such as Sony Vegas, where you just play the video and manually cover the face with the cat where it's needed.
