I'm trying to buy a domain registered in 2014, and have the whois info kept the same as it was when it got registered in 2014. (ie. having the info about the year it got registered --> 2014 )
Is that possible ? How ? Any help would be really appreciated. thanks.

Not possible, the register will auto update the date of transfer/drop on whois.

You can use the info that you want in the whois, the only thing that needs to be real is the contact email because ICANN (the guys who regulate domain registrations) asks registrars to send email verification to validate your contact info.
As long as no one complains for the fake info there will be no problem.

Don't have anything smart to tell you, but your avatar is fucking impressive.

3rd party domain sites, try to stay away from registrar sales. They tend to delete the domain and re-reg it

It's possible if you buy a domain from someone. The creation date stays the same, so it will show that it's reg'd in 2014.

Another way to do it is to buy a closeout domain or win a domain on auction.

The only time a domain dies is when it drops and expires and no one catches it... THen the registration date will be new.

Thanks for your replies guys.

Gonna try with some auction. Any info on which site I should go with for the auctions ? Not really keen on going with godaddy for this.

GD is great, that's where you can buy $20 domains from auction quickly. (Closeouts).

But if you want to do other sites: NAmejet, phoenix, etc.

Allright I'l try one with GD see how it goes, checkout the others too later on. Thanks for the info JV
