I think you are in high competition niche and not medium competition. Generally, people start seeing traction in 6 months in medium competition.

For what you can do now, heads down and keep producing great quality content along with good backlinks. Wait for Big G to push you up.

What is a better way to get to the top of the serps on your chosen keywords without doing all the fancy seo and waiting to be out of the sandbox?.

If you get enough traffic to the site and low bounce rate it'll escape the sandbox.

Buying tons of Adwords is one way to get lots of signals.

i presume you are competing in a clustered niche given the situation. it's really tough in this case. you should publish more unique & relevant contents and acquire backlinks from reliable sources.

Adwords is legit. I've ranked out of sandbox using it.

The "Sandbox period" depends on your niche. That's the bottom line.

Some niches are very competitive.

Good luck getting out of the "Sandbox" in less than a year or even a year and a half. That's just the nature of the beast.

The workaround to this is to find long-tail keywords and questions with zero or close to zero search volume.

As long as they appear on the Google AutoSuggest tool and are highly relevant to the niche you are targeting, create content for them.

By focusing on this type of content, you will break out of the Google Sandbox sooner rather than later.

But still, the determining factor is how competitive that niche is.

Another approach you could take is to just pick a less competitive niche.

So don't worry about the sandbox.

Focus instead on creating the kind of valuable content that your target audience's member would want to read.

Target low competition keywords to start getting traffic. The harder keywords will start ranking after a while.
