    how can I add a header type frame to the top of my weppage so that when a user clinks a link to leave my webpage this stays on the same page and the destination page is underneath.

    I have seen this done and was wondering if it can be done in wordpress

    here is a site the utilizes this feature

    Code:
    [URL="http://www.cappersaccess.com/"]www.cappersaccess.com[/URL][URL="http://www.cappersaccess.com"]
    [/URL]

    you can use something called frameset to do that.
    a link in your page can have a target

    a href ... target ...

    if target is set to the name of the frame where you want the link to load, only that frame will be affected.
