Hello

My small website (80 pages) was hacked. I fixed it, but now I still have 1.7M noindex pages on Search Console and 57.9K pages that are indexed.

I made all of those pages that were added by the 'Japanese-cloaking' hack return a status code of 410 (instead of 404). However, all the traffic and rankings have crashed down, and after 2 months, I can't get back the original traffic.

What can I do to fix it?
And how can I remove those 1.7M pages that are under noindex?

bro I think you count your loses and move on. That sucks but you could be waiting forever for ranking to come back.

This is probably a dumb question, but wouldn't submitting a new sitemap (your old sitemap) help Google know those pages aren't there?

What you can do is unindex the domain and then reindex the URLs.

However, it will take some time for the rankings to come back.

I have already done those things, unfortunately..
