Hi, i have the oportunity of offer blogging to Cubans living in Cuba, but i need know somethings:

The objetive is build a blog network from Cuba to Cubans

What solution is better wordpress, wordpress mu, other?

there is some way, pluging, script, etc that automatize the new blogs creation?

Where i can find a lot of free templates for bloggers can personalize his blog?

Please, be considered we are in Cuba and there isn't money

WPMU would be best if you want one site and a bunch of people blogging at once.

The problem is that anywhere for cubans are many lies, and interests that not interest to cubans.
Cubans want manage his things by cubans living in Cuba, their don't want any interference from cubans outsite of Cuba.
this is because there is many incorrect views about cuba and Cubans are boring of all world speaking about Cuba but without ask to cubans.

What think cubans:
"I don't tell what you should do in your home, them you don't should tell me what i do in my home"

There is this that is interesting:

(makes MU like a social networking site in addition to blogging)

You can even make it look like facebook with this theme:

But there is a lot of others too. As far as plugins on wpmu, a lot of regular wordpress plugins work with wpmu, you just have to try it or check the developers page / support forum.

Hey there,

Actually, I would first like to know how large cuba is (size-wise). That said, if it has quite some people, you should go get a coder and make your own script.

If there is no such solutions for cubans yet, you've the advantage of massive local press coverage. It simply depends on how serious you're with this project.

A coder not are serious here, are slow, very slow, many meetings, schemas, etc,them my project can become to be real in 2 years,
for it i prefer a build solution, and that is more expandable from first day (plugins, themes, usability, etc)
The local press don't speak about this

I have been to Cuba some times. I even have a cuban girlfriend.
1.- I assume that, as cubans do not usually have access to Internet (legally), they are going to write from their work (and just a few ones have access on their jobs).
2.- Cause a lot of the Internet traffic (specially y e-mails) are spied by the goverment: do you want a solution that is hosted in Cuba, so you can cancel a "dissident's" account?
