Was thinking about at what point can you no longer run your website alone without full time employees?

Is it at a certain earning amount like $10.000 a month? $100.000 a month?

Or is it when your website start to get massive amount of visitor? If so at what point will you need to have full time employees? 10.000 unique a day? 100.000 unique a day? A million?

I'm mostly talking about authority websites that needs new content on a regular basis.

There was a guy that I once read about that was selling mind-enhancement pills. It supposedly made you think better, remember better, etc. Surprisingly, it was also legal. He was averaging $30,000-$40,000/month working 4 hours a week, since he only had to check his emails, and his supplement stock. I'm sure there are people that make way more than that.

If you're mostly talking about content website, then it's a whole different story. Who is going to write all that fresh content if you're all by yourself. You'll be working full-time, and I doubt you can make more than $30,000 all by yourself after 4-5 years of hard work. And I'm thinking about all those gurus that have their own post and sell their eBooks, affiliate programs, and lectures.

We became the dominant species on earth because of one important characteristic: cooperation.

Assemble a team as soon as you can and always involve people because time is more valuable than money.

Being alone and making new content on regular basis may be possible with lot of stress.
Make yourself comfort by having a full time employees, and sure you can make a lot more money.
And after that need to have employees to control the visitors.

After God knows how long I've had to deal with co-workers who have their own agendas on a daily basis, it is SO much less taxing to be in charge of people who are resourceful and have a solid work ethic. They're out there, guaranteed.

I think this may have to do with your comfort zone vis a vis micromanaging. If the workload begins to look like too much (and you'll feel it in your gut), that's when I would recommend considering bringing on people.

It all depends on the business and how much automation you put into it.
