Those of you who smoke cigarettes or have smoked in their lives know that smoking is much more than just 'a bad habit' that everybody tells you to kick. It's an addictive habit, and if manage to get out of the nicotine hook, the feeling of smoking and the act of smoking a cigarette is the most powerful hook. The physical effects of giving up the hourly dosages of nicotine wear off in approximately 72 hours (the worst of them anyways), but the urge to pick up a cigarette, light it and just hold it in between your fingers and inhale the smoke at times is very, very tempting.
And surprisingly, I found that browsing BHW took my mind off the matter. Whenever a friend went to have a smoke, even with my phone I would open BHW and read some of the threads. It calmed me down and let me focus on something that did not include joining my friends for a cigarette. It swayed the temptation to the side and helped me get over it. Now I quit smoking almost two months ago, and couldn't be happier.
Honest thanks where they belong, mates. Cheers.
