How best to utilise Web 2.0 properties

Hi,

As a newbie to SEO please accept my apologies if these are stupid questions but any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Question - How do I best utilise do follow & no follow web 2.0 sites such as posterous and salon for my website?
Do I just go on to e.g. Salon and Posterous set up an account and just add content and keep adding links back to my money site?
Add comments to other people's blog posts leaving a link back to my money site?
Can you re-use the same content on different web 2.0 sites as I have a list of 25 or does it have to be unique?
I currently post news stories on my money site, can I simply post these again on Web 2.0 sites?

There are many ways to link back to your site. The lowest quality would be the scrapebox auto-accept comment spam or xrumer forum spam. A step-up from that would be AMR article directory posts that are auto-accept (because you get your link in-content). These are massively spammed and article directories massively spammed are often de-indexed by Google -- so they're not the best links.

Then there are the web2.0s. These sites are typically high PR, and Google considers them important enough to allow them to index millions of pages. Most are on subdomains, and Google gives most the benefit-of-the-doubt on quality. Many web2.0s are not as badly spammed as article directories via AMR or as with scrapebox/xrumer blasts. For these reasons, web2.0s are considered higher quality.

The proper use of web2.0s would be to use them as 1st tier of link pyramids which link directly to your money site. Then you build 2nd tier links to your web2.0s (such as AMR blasts, scrapebox and xrumer blasts) ... or you can blast scrapebox and xrumer to the AMR for 3 tiers of links.

You will want the content on your money site to be 100% unique. The content on your web2.0s, AMR blasts, etc. can be lower quality. Don't put your high quality articles from your money sites onto the web2.0s.

First, the only stupid question is the one you dont ask and remember everyone here has been a newbie.

What you need to do is use plr content (see below posy) and spin this content to place on your web 2 properties. Do not post these articles on your money site.
