How Are Your Teeth?

If you have any issue with your teeth, it's not covered by health insurance here. (Is it covered anywhere at all btw?) Shit's expensive, if you need something more serious to be fixed. Fortunately i didn't need to visit a dentist in the past 15 years or so.

It's covered in those European countries migrants flock to for welfare checks: Italy, Germany, France, etc.

I had a tooth pulled not long ago, and I paid for it. Since then, I've been brushing my teeth at least once a day. Not because of the treatment fee, but because I've always had a dentist phobia and the event was a good reminder of it.

Have learned a lot of teeth, the jaw and its connection with overall body.

Modern society suffers from cavities and overcrowding teeth.

We get cavities not from too much sugar, though it contributes to it. We get it from mouth breathing and causes our saliva to dry and allow bacteria to grow. I haven’t had any cavities since I started nasal breathing (I also tape my mouth when I sleep).

Teeth become overcrowded because our jaws have gotten smaller. After the industrial revolution we haven’t needed to chew as much and we eat super soft foods. Our jaws are too small and that causes teeth to come in disproportionately. Mastic gum is good to allow children to grow a larger jaw.

Also if you have a crossbite, or a malocclusion (where your jaw and teeth aren’t properly aligned. Your jaw is off), it leads to your entire body being out of posture.

Interesting stuff. Thought I’d share.

My teeth are perfectly aligned, and in excellent shape. The only thing is they are probably as yellow as BHW's theme color. Too much coffee and soda in my diet probably

Man, my teeth are a bit fucked up too. Aesthetically fine, but missing a few from the back. I honestly couldn't care less how much it would cost to fix them, but I'm literally terrified by dentists, doctors and stuff like that. Even that smell when you enter a hospital brrrr
