Hey guys,

I will be launching a free newsletter soon, but i want to make sure i have a good source of traffic figured out before i invest BIG into the site..

I was thinking of hitting Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter hard..

But i don't feel that will drive the email submits...

What are you guys doing to drive traffic to your landing pages?... (and does it convert pretty well?)

Theres got to be something you guys are doing in order to get opt in email addresses
 
Freebies, Downloads, content locking. Tons of ways to incentivize an opt-in. Non incent optins are usually best generated through a sales funnel. Tons of resources on here that should help get you going!
 
Hacking is also a major breakpoint, hackers sell list of emails.
And no, they don't see list of emails that are hacked, they send list of emails that they got from a database - so they don't know exactly their passwords.
 
Adswaps and Solo Ads do it for me.

You have to test different traffic sources to know what's really effective for you.
 
There are many ways to getting results:


  1. Your website should be interactive enough and have good and interesting content to read.
  2. Attend Exhibition, Events etc related to your business and collect the data, It will help you to target specific and huge number of interested customers.
  3. Include forms for freebies, queries, suggestions, this will help in lead generation.
  4. Use Auto-Responders for Opt-Ins.
 
I either collect them manually or scrape them with SB.
 
Know your target market. Squeeze pages work best giving something that will benefit the subscriber. People looking to get a 6 pack, looking to make money online with Facebook, etc.

Bets traffic for me has come from solo ads and facebook ads.
 
Solo ads have worked for me in the past, although you have to make sure its a quality list
 
Giveaways, free stuff always helps and great content work for me. I suppose this could vary from niche to niche but it's worked for me for the past 5 years or so.
 
To get e mail addresses their are lots offered here, just search you get it but you need have a budget you need to buy from those guys have the list, but before you do that think what you need what you are targeting, most of that e mail list you can't sure it is active or not. maybe for sure used social media its a big help for you to generate traffic.
 
i have a small list of about 50/60 e-mail addys...not sure how to get in mass amounts sorry if looking to inquire ones i have pm
 
You can buy them. There are a lot of offers available on this forum. You can do one more thing, hire a freelancer and manually collect email. But, I think it would be more costly.
 
Conversion optimisation is what maximises on the traffic you get. So once youve established a traffic source you should test elements of your web/landing page using that traffic, against that traffic to see what content gets you the most sign ups

You could try testing the title, colour of your button, images, content, to see which one brings you the best results then put all your resources into that method
