How are you Amazon Affiliates doing in 2019?

Hello Amazon affiiates, how are you doing this year? In december my earnings was down 75% compared to last year. January was really bad and februari is going to be a disaster as well.

My conversion rate is down from stable 7-8% for many years to 3%.

Have you guys noticed this downward trend as well or is this unique to my website?

Conversions in this months has dropped significantly hope the next month would be better.
 
I think it's a common thing for January/February. Most people have spent tons of money in December/November and they've bought everything they wanted on "discount". Just give it a month or two and it'll be fine.
 
Amazon Affiliate is a good programme however it's worth taking a look at other programmes for the following reasons:

  1. Reduce risk - reduce risk if comision rate drops or you get banned etc.
  2. Better oppertunities - you can find higher commission rates and cookie durations
  3. Amazon doesn't work in certain niches - in some niches they just don't have the volume of products as more specialized and focused stores. You're better off working with another store that can offer more in that niche.

That's the case for most markets. Especially electronics and travel. The best time to buy appliances/computers/gadgets is Jan/Feb.
It's also a good period to travel in the Northern Hemispher (along with October and November).

Agree, these month are usually 25% lower on average. Especially January. Not familiar with Amazon affiliate marketing though but seeing how Jeff built his empire, I'd bet the guy isn't really generous with affiliates (after all, his employees were using doors as desks :suspicious: because he didn't want to make the expense).
