How are these people making such backlink?

I've been following my competitor and found this new backlink to their site.

https://vgamerz.com/rxvkyj/simpson-college-women's-basketball-coaches.html
Judging the domain, it seems that it's a legitimate site as its being constantly updating. However, the link shared above just doesn't make sense and only shows backlinks to the other websites.

Is this kind of backlink building also available in the BHW market?

The article got Facebook comments as well so it must not be automated.

Content presentation can be improved on that site though.

In this particular case, it looks like some sort of crappy cheap shitty PBN, like the ones you see having marvel and lady gaga graphics in the BSTs.

However, similar links appear to be placed on hacked WP blogs, without the owner even knowing. By the time they find out, the guys have already done their job.
 
I have lots of these junk links, never understood where they came from :/

Junk links very hard to indexed, but if you tried my index method that I posted here on bhw, this will be possible to do.

And who the heck told you that I am trying to index those links? In case you missed the point, I am asking how these links are made since they are not similar to what is being sold in the bhw market.

I saw these types of links. Those were automatically created. checked from Ahrefs. Will they affect the ranking?
 
I get exact same links every day. mixed with competitors.

And they have super good DA/PA etc. which is good.

I would rather not have it, but not sure how to avoid it.

and yes, these seemed hacked. and the content spun.
 
These looks html uploads on hacked WordPress blogs. You can see a random subfolder created to upload these html files and when you check the permalink of the posts on homepage, those are normal wp posts and pages but these are uploaded htmls.
