How are these people creating these ready made websites and replicating them?

Kind of new to website flipping obviously... So I am curious about this aspect of the game...

There are some sellers on Flippa that pretty much just crank out run of the mill sites and sell them all at the same price. One in particular has nearly 15k in sales and when you look at his listings, you can see he's rehashed the same sites and selling them with different domain names. He has a good sale to no sale ratio so he's definitely making decent money.

Where are these guys getting these sites? Obviously he has a handful of sites that he's just reuploading on different domains and selling them... but how is he making these sites? Scripts? What kinds of scripts could he be using?

Any info would help me figure this out! It's driving me crazy! lol

Ok I should have been a little more clear in what I do and don't understand lol.

I know how to replicate a site and re-up it somewhere else.

I'm wondering about the actual making of the original site. For instance... one guy has a travel listing site (hotels and flights), he has a sports news site, entertainment news site, a flash games site, and a couple others.

What is he using to make these sites so easily? They don't have huge value as they are brand new, obviously... but there are buyers out there that feel they can turn them into something of value and that's all I really care about.. lol

So you want to know how that guy is practically scamming people? There are better ways to make a buck.

Hire outsourcers. One setups sites and another writes content.

There are a few wso that just rehash the same website over and over again. The sales proof they show is either not true at all or it was originally true and not true for the current site

You assume he made them "easily". Maybe he made them after research and work and there wasn't anything easy about the first ones.

If you want to get in the game easily and figure out how it's done then just purchase one of his sites and now you have his template.

It's a bit unsettling with all these people saying scam without knowing the details of the listings or sellers. While I'll be the first to admit there are a ton of fragrant scams on Flippa, I also know there are many sellers that make template sites to fill a demand from buyers that don't want to learn how to build websites.

While it's child's play for many of us to install WP, a theme, good plugins, widgets and some content; to others that would involve a day or week learning curve. To them tossing a seller $100-$200 to have it done is money well invested and gives them a jump start on their project.

Don't be so quick to scream scam because a seller is selling websites without ranking, traffic or revenue. He's filling a demand and as long as he's honest in his advertising I don't believe he's a scammer.

I hire workers all the time to do tasks I can easily do myself. I hire workers to build Web 2.0s, make email accounts, write content, do research, etc. These workers perform a service and I pay them. Just because it's a simple service that practically anyone can do doesn't make them scammers. They are saving me time (well usually) and for that I'm happy to pay them.

Getting back to startup websites, some buyers are happy to pay for websites already built and running. Because they're simple for most of us, don't have traffic or revenue doesn't mean they're worthless to everyone. While they might be worthless to you, they're a jump start to others that might not want to spend time learning how to build websites but rather focus on learning how to run them. To each their own; but don't be so quick to label sellers scammers unless you know they're misrepresenting their products and truly defrauding buyers.

They use something like CMS commander and a cloning program.

Create the main site to clone. Buy the domains, and drop in the basic clone. Add the sites to cms commander. Edit all the sites at once, meaning you can make 20 copies of the site you are working on, you simply make a change and cms commander applies it to all the websites in that bunch.

If you build the master with unique keywords in the content ares, you can find these phrases, and use replace to fill in content for individual sites. For site 1 just replace "main body content" with the contents of article 1, footer content with the footer1 information, and so on.

Another possibility would be that he is buying PLR content or so and just revamps that content.
