How are sites like these built?

I have a question regarding websites that Instagram likes, Facebook Likes, Spotify Plays.

Take this for example:
https://www.spotistar.com/
I know a friend that knows a friend that knows the owner. And it looks like it's decent money in this game.

How does one make a website that sell for example Spotify Plays?
Is it a script that plays a track from a unique IP repeatedly?
Or is it a farm someplace?

I mean, they work based on orders. Once someone buys, they just see the details and complete the order.

They usually go to Sierra Leone, and pay kids 1 cent per day to listen to Spotify Tracks all day long. Heard Zanzibar is cheap too.

Some are smarter, and just automate the process with bots.

I rather pick the bot path. How are these made?

How the mechanics behind the delivery of likes and plays work. What kinda bot/script is used for this.

Usually its a bot rotating a bunch of proxies using an emulator to view and listen to the song on spotify.

they r building bots with rotating proxy and fingerprints and dif profiles with dif cookies. Im pretty sure isnt done with selenium as it took too much ressource. Maybe webrequest i guess

Your mutual friend's website is either reselling the services and only "passes" the deal information to the actual "view bots" who do the real legwork of those Spotify Plays.

OR they have their own automated system. It's very unlikely tho since most of these websites outsource these services to botfarms in Russia/Uzbekistan/Central Asia.

The bots are either just a bunch of machines with multiple proxies to count as different IPs. Or literally hundreds if not thousands of different devices connected to a large organisational level internet connection.

The multiple devices strategy works better than multiple proxies. Spotify clients have device fingerprints that can be spotted by their anti-bot systems if you use a single device with proxies.

So, there are huge "Android Farms" used by the botters. They acquire thousands of cheap Android devices, get an enterprise internet connection and then automate playing Spotify on all those devices. They use proxies on top of this. Some even go to the extent of formatting the phones programmatically once in awhile to reduce the chances of getting caught cause of the fingerprints.

It can get really complex real soon. As said, these Android Farms are where websites like your friend's usually outsource their services to.
