Mostly it's strong aged accounts, timing, and sometimes coordinated upvotes from networks. Some use bots but smart manual setups work too if warmed up right.

Yeah, it’s a mix of things. Some users definitely use upvote bots or networks, but a lot of it comes down to timing, engaging titles, and posting when the subreddit is most active. Catching the algorithm early helps — if the post gets quick engagement, Reddit pushes it harder. But yeah, in big subs, some of those “viral” posts aren’t always organic.

At least in r/Askreddit people are mostly posting best posts diffrent ways over and over again and some of them are using upvote bots

It's pretty simple.
A lot of them either are high-quality posts (I know that this does happen from time to time), but a lot of them also, depending on the subreddit, of course, are fueled by upvote farms.

It's always funny because they say, "We don't do bots," "We ban people," or "We do this, that, and the other." They'll never stop it, and they're just lying. At the end of the day, platforms need users, and they need people on there. If you read enough about the topic and do research, you'll notice that there are actually people who do podcasts on YouTube and Twitch, like streamers who have been using bot viewership and monetizing their accounts. It's unbelievable.

There are definitely some people using bots in that sub. However, many people are reposting the same top-performing posts, which almost guarantees them fast engagement in a sub of that size.
