Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading a few threads here and noticed that a lot of people use scripts to automate repetitive work.
I’m curious what kind of tasks are you personally automating with scripts?
Right now I’m trying to understand practical use cases, like:
Data collection or organization
Simple automation workflows
Time saving processes
For someone just getting into scripting, what’s the easiest type of automation to start with?
Would love to hear real examples from your experience.

Hello,
I rely on automation to handle the repetitive manual aspects of my own work.
Claude has been a fantastic tool for making this more efficient.

Do you use python script to do that and use claude to automate or is a better way? I use Ai to create scripts to automate task and are good sometime they crash unfortunately

One of the first things I tried was simple data collection. Instead of manually copying info from websites or forums, I used basic scripts to pull and organize data into a sheet. Even something as simple as collecting post titles, links, or comments into a CSV file can save a lot of repetitive effort.

Yes, I mainly use Python scripts for automation, and I also leverage AI tools to speed up development and troubleshooting. I understand the issue with AI-generated scripts they can work well but sometimes become unstable or crash without proper optimization. In my workflow, I focus on making the automation reliable, scalable, and easier to maintain rather than just generating quick scripts.

I usually combine Python with AI depending on the task. AI helps me generate or refine scripts, then I customize and test them for reliability. Automation can definitely save time, although occasional crashes happen, so I always include error handling and make adjustments as needed. I'm always interested in learning better workflows if you've found one that works well.
