How are people monetizing live concert recordings?

    I see a lot of live concert recordings on youtube with A lot of views, and not from official channels such as VEVO etc, just from regular people, and there are ads on the videos, but this is directly against youtube policy, so technically the video should be deleted and should not have got accepted monetization. How do they get it through?

    YouTube detect these videos with his content id system. The original owner (label, musican, ...) can put his own adsense ads to the video

    thanks for the reply. Did not know this! Do they offer revenue share? or just take all revenue themselves

    There not monetizing them. At all. They can't because its intellectual property and they own 0 rights.
