When using the Facebook mobile ap, I have recently started noticing videos that autoplay in the timeline.
When you click them, mobile Facebook opens it's own browser and the video plays with sound from an external website, and displays what I believe is Google adsense ads.

How are people doing this? The following is an example. On desktop it loads like a normal Facebook video. It only opens with ads in the Facebook browser on mobile.

Well there's another paradise for spam. Thanks for the heads up.
Facebook is trying to get into everything, Plagiarism at its best, stories from SnapChat, this from Youtube. Idk whats Mark Zuckerberg up to. I think he will also implement web search engine into Facebook soon.

It's nothing new really, both Google and Facebook want to be the AOL where everyone is locked into their world. Fortunately Google can't do social media and FB can't do search so for now we have relative freedom on the WWW.

The day both collude, it's over. They'll dictate everything. We're almost there.

Don't forget they're also taking ebay on, with their "for sale" posts in groups.
Wouldn't be so bad if the admins of groups could charge commission on sales made in that group.
Facebook will become the centralised internet platform for everything eventually.

The video ads that https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/aryabhattzero.892423/ mentioned are different to what I have observed though. Those play a video ad 20 seconds into the video.

The adverts I am referencing, are normal adsense gifs. An uploaded video autoplays on the Facebook mobile timeline, but when you click it, it opens an external website on mobile, within the facebook browser. This website is packed with google ads.

I guess my question is: How are people getting videos from external websites to autoplay in the Facebook timeline?

I think what there doing is uploading a call to action video without using the button, just inserting the url

This method is calling Carousel. U can find that on ADS Manager at Post Page post, u can use ur url to promote your website throught video.

The tool they used to use this for is called http://tube2fb.com unfortunately Facebook has updated their api and its not working anymore

Does anybody know a good alternative btw?

That's so frustrating. This would have opened up amazing opportunities for my small business. Thank you all for your help and figuring this out though.

Facebook will probably implement a hi-res satellite imagery product before rolling out a search engine. All your facebook friend's location will then be just a swipe away!

The owner of this Facebook page has a network of extremely high-trafficked pages, which he monetizes for video views through a direct partnership with Facebook. He is one of the very few people who have been allowed to do that and he is also here on BHW and has written a detailed guide on FB marketing.

Do you have a ink to that guide? My partner and I are about to open a store which we aim to push through Facebook.

Method : from your ads manager, you make a video ad you put your video, and link it to your website with video inside.
if user play it from desktop it will play the video , and give the link at the end of video.
if user play it from mobile it will browse the link you provided.

PS : this is another method to abuse facebook features, and it can result a permanent page ban, use at your own risk.

lost a page with 850k fan, couple years ago, by abusing the " make offer " thing .

If there is a way to monetize it, Facebook is probably on top of it
