How are people claiming OG usernames on INstagram?

Well there are underground marketplaces for selling handles. As well as having a connection with Meta Reps and if a handle has been inactive for a long time they may be able to claim it for you.

Firstly, they register a trademark of the username they want to snipe. Then they file a report against that Instagram account using this trademark as a tool to show Instagram that the Instagram account should be theirs. Their is a page to report accounts for this (I don't really remember the link to it or else I would have posted it here). After a few days of waiting, Instagram gives them (the ones who registered the trademark).

I am not 100% sure if this is the right method though because I found this step-by-step kind of guide on some other forum (which is kind of a sketchy forum)
