How are backlinks that cant be found with inspect tool created

Hi everyone,

I have been a reader of many questions and answers here but I have a question - How do you create a backlink that is placed on another website you don't own, cant be found through the inspect tool but is seen on semrush.

On inspecting the page, I can't find the link, maybe I am inspecting wrongly, don't know.

BUT MANY TIMES COMPETITORS HAVE USED THIS BACKLINKS TO KICK ME OUT OF NO 1 POSITION

They just get like 70 links (from unrelated websites) like this in one day and boom, i am dropped to no 2.

Any guidance is helping

The owner of the website must link to your website, that is why they're so valuable.

You can't add it there only they can.
