I’ve been looking for writing tasks but things seem difficult.

I tried Reddit, there seems to be some writing jobs in some sections but I hardly get response from clients.

I also tried placing bids on two freelancing websites, but still can’t even win my first project.

I am looking for sites that add writing jobs on a consistent basis to get busy, because I have enough time all day long, but can’t get some work to do.

I am not looking for higher rates, something like $2-$3/500 words is OK.

I appreciate your contributions.

Thanks

Fiverr works. Try differentiating yourself from competitors by offering niche targeted content only.

BST here works too. Sell your content services on this forum and you're pretty much guaranteed some clients.

Thanks for also recommending BSO Marketplace, i'll give it a try when i raise some funds to upgreade my account.

In the past i've added my gig on Fiverr but no response, the thing is I've landed some clients in the past and haven't work for sometimes due to studies and now am back, i want to start earning some money as well.

Easy peasy, join local Reddit boards, for small to medium cities or local facebook groups for any size cities in the US and post something like "Hey guys, my name is... and I just moved to (city name here) I'm looking for a job as a content marketing specialist. I usually help small local businesses with their local SEO bringing them new clients by ranking some specific words their clients are searching for on Google. Here are some samples of my work..... Let me know if you have any leads. Thanks.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of groups so this could never get saturated.

That's a great idea and thank you for sharing that. But i am not from the U.S, am from Africa. But still i'll make some twist to the method to see if it will work.

I also want to connect on LinkedIn, do you have some tips like the one above that could help me attract clients on LinkedIn?

Thanks

Try Facebook groups, some listings are posted there, but be careful to collect money upfront because I've seen a lot of people complaining they've written content for someone and they're not even replying to their messages.

What i can suggest you is - look into JV forum. Keep trying to land gigs but by JVing with someone can help you build passive income for your work.

E.g. find someone who knows SEO and you supply the content and you can later you can split the profits.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the platforms you're trying to get work from. Have you tried to differentiate yourself from others? Did you tell them your rate and showed some samples that you wrote?

If you provide quality work for that price, you won't have any problem getting a job.

Freelancer.com could be a good place. There are a lot of jobs, and you don't need a lot of work to approve your account.
SEO related Facebook groups can be good as well. Have a look at this list - https://ahrefs.com/blog/facebook-seo-groups/

Don't give up yet bud, there's work for you if you want to do it.

The good old "Write for Us" search on Google. Maybe add a niche to it if you are experienced in any. It is not necessarily consistent but worth a try. If you are patient then you can find websites that really need content and ask them. It often pays more than $3-5/500w

The trouble is some websites want you to write for free. They may allow you to guest post in exchange for a link to your site but that does not translate to cold hard cash.

Thank you, i'll try the google search and see if i could make some fast cash.

Yes that's why it takes a while until you cherry pick those sites that pay you. Given that you write a good and well researched article, of course. I've found a couple of sites that paid me $100 per article in the travel niche. I checked out their content, wrote a few article suggestions to them and even wrote a sample in their style. I had to cold email many other sites until I got to the ones that actually wanted me to write articles tho

Can you please share them?

So does posting an advert in the market place of Blackhat World guarentee paying clients?

Even i am wondering the same thing, i am thinking of upgrading to list my writing services.

I doubt it will guarantee it, but take a look on there and see if you can offer better work

I've had alook and it seems there are established sellers offering writing services for very little money. Not sure if I want to offer 500 word articles for 3 dollars or something like that. If I am going to offer services I requre a higher rate. Not sure if I can break through the people who have been on there since say 2017. In any case I need to upgrade my membership and I need to jump through some hoops to reach that level.

That is true. But people will try other services. Especially if you offer free reviews.

Either you could opt Fiverr or other popular platforms. But it's much better to pitch clients with a scraped mail list.

IMO the trouble with Fiverr is that its too popular. I get the impression most people who sign up don't get any work. Its alright for someone looking to get some work done as it provides a platform to find workers.
