I just made first major CB product. I know affilitates like to see all the stats on the product-conversions etc. How am I suppose to get these numbers without direct linking PPC? Also how essential are these in attracting affilitates?

If it is a solid product with low competition, you will probably want to include some sort of conversion information. I cannot directly answer your question as to how I would go about doing this, but you may be able to get creative.

If your product has a fair amount of competition or heavy amount, then these numbers will be attractive to affiliates but not completely necessary. As a matter of fact, it may be beneficial in this case to have as little information as possible unless it is requested by the affiliate. This 'lack of numbers' will actually drive weaker affiliates away from your product while leaving room only for the stronger ones. In time, your product will start to show stats.

As a CB marketer, I tend to research competitive products and develop a nose for the niche. This means that after a little research into the affiliate competition, I can tell by looking at a particular sales page or product review copy that the product has the potential to do well. Also, If I have previous experience with a particular seller, I tend to get contacted directly regarding new product launches and can get started before anyone else.

If you have developed products in the past, then your first go-to would be those affiliates that were successful with your other launches. You may even trade for some testimonials that you can use to lure new affiliates to your program, all this without numbers.

Gravity is the best indication that it converts.
