Hi,

I have a 19yo (2001) aged domain that I bought and built it since March 2020, it has 180 articles (WordPress), how long will it take for it to take off (crawl the SERPs)...

I am losing motivation to write more articles... But I am still pushing content every week...

When you're analyzing a site, the domain age metric is most useful as a way to quickly determine a level of potential quality. If your domain has been around for 10 years or more, you're likely going to find a sizable backlink profile and some real ranking power behind quality pages

I didn't know this while buying the domain name, thank you Sir for clarifying this to me, so I am in the right direction... but how long will it take (min/max) to rank in the SERPs... my main topic is tech/windows...

yes, domain age is an important SEO factor for your Google ranking. Among the hundreds of weighting factors that Google considers in determining how to rank search engine results is the age of your domain

Age alone won't do shit for you.

How many backlinks does it have? How much DR, DA?

On Ahrefs it says 13 on DR 124K on backlinks 2.6k on organic kw and organic traffic started in july...

124k backlinks? Are you sure it's not a penalty domain?
No it's a domain that was held since 2001 by a US domain broker, it was never used before, but I found it was on sale on multiple resellers...

Age will allow you to quickly get out of sandbox besides that it’s links may help, but it’ll depend on its quality and more info @Nargil can add
I see... This is what I noticed btw, it got indexed very fast and is generating some traffic already but most articles are on the 3rd page of Google SERPs... I am waiting for it to get to the first page for some KWs

2.6k traffic for 180 articles is quite low but you are saying that the site started receiving traffic in July then I guess it's just a matter of time before it starts going up.

I would say keep working on it and do verify that those 124k backlinks are legit and not spam because it sounds quite high. How many RD for the 124k backlinks?

The traffic in Google Analytics is like 2k per month since June and it looks like it's the same in July, the website needs some time... for the RD of those 124k backlinks, here is an image:

And I just went through your link profile, yes it's spammed to death, you're wasting your time with this domain.

Maybe it's because I did a 301 redirect from a domain that was spammed to death but I didn't know... I just deleted that 301 redirection... Because when I checked on Ahrefs (I just got the account today tbh) I found that most of those links (at least 60%) are coming from that domain... So I deleted it...

I gave you my advice, now it's up to you.
Thank you Sir, you advice is valuable, I forgot about that domain that was ruined because of an SEO tool I installed in it, I deleted the 301 redirection, I am glad I posted on BHW, THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to offer help. I will follow you for sure.

Yes, I saw you had redirected 4 domains to this site and all 4 of them have spammy links. But even then, your own domain also has spammy links, so if I were you I would stop wasting my time on it.

What you can do is buy a new domain which is free from spam, there are services here on BHW that can help you. I would then deindex this website completely and move all the content to the new domain.
