So I've been relying on different keyword research tools like ubersuggest and keyword everywhere and both indicates that a certain keyword gets around 18100 monthly searches.
Now here is the confusing part.
Website age is 3 months and that keyword is ranking at spot number 13 according to ubersuggest. When searching for that keyword in igcognito mode that keyword sometimes show at the bottom of page 2 and sometimes it is completely nowhere to be found.
I've been building links (web 2.0's and ) to the homepage and some comment links to that specific page.
But here is my question:
Is the search volume accurate and how on earth can a new website rank for such a tough keyword in such a short time with minimal link building.
I hope someone can share some light on these questions.
