Very accurate. Only tool that has access to Google's real statistics.

It's pretty shite overall but you can't get any better as Google has the best data.
All I can say is I've seen the tool say a search term has 100 searches a month, but with testing that keyword gets 4k page views a month.
A lot of the time you'll find it says the search for a term is very low or there isn't any, chances are there are.

Seems very interesting, I can remember that once I checked KW diff on kwfinder and it was 46, I ranked spun article to the first page without single backlink or any further optimizations, and later. And at Google Keyword Planner that keyword was Low Competition

The tool gives you a heavily rounded 12 month average of a keyword, so a keyword which had 135k searches in June might actually average out to a much higher number than it is today. It might be getting 1k searches and you see an average of 33k~. The tool is just to estimate.
As for the guy that said a 100 search keyword gave him 4k page views, you probably didn't rank for 1 keyword. I think it's impossible to rank for just 1 single word/phrase as google tries to understand the context of your article and rank you for topics you cover.

Its data but not 100% accurate.Its not real time data that data is 3months behind.

I didn't say I ranked for just 1 keyword, I know Google ranks you in keyword clusters and groups. I used keyword variants throughout the page to give it some diversity. Google is pretty smart you don't need to use the exact match all the time.
The point I was making was the accuracy of the tool isn't always spot on.

Yeah I've seen the keyword tool spit out stupid numbers for searches, but when you do the search yourself, you see Adwords campaigns for others running, top and bottom - that itself is a good sign if others are paying for ads this keyword probably does get a bunch of search.

as I know, most of the other site use Google API to extract the result so always google is best

Google keyword planner is very accurate, it really helps you to know which keyword is the most searched in your niche.
True, I have heard somewhere that the data is a couple of months behind that they show.

Yeah maybe the number just went up by 90% in a few months time.Actually, it's not accurate at all
There are cases when google said it's like 1000 visitors a month, but when I ranked I found that it's 10,000

After testing it tons of times in tons of different niches - It's not. In most cases, there is MORE TRAFFIC than what the keywords planner shows, so it's a "good" mistake for our favor lol

If you are talking about search volumes, then obviously it's not a 100% representation of the actual numbers, but just an average based on the previous 12 months, like others have mentioned.
And also keep in mind that if you rank #1 for a keyword that gets 10k searches per month, it doesn't mean you'll get 300 visitors per day.
You have to factor in the organic results below yourself and keep in mind that Adwords ads take approximately 60% of the search volume, so that's something to remember.
