I hope someone can help me out as I am having some trouble here.

How accurate is google for keyword competition? I found a few keywords with very low competition and have a search volume of 40K per month. Is that accurate? I found similar keywords also that are low and have around 50K search volume per month. Oh and I was using a phrase search for this.

You can just do a quick search on Google and see what ads you will be competing against. You can also use SEMrush to see what ads have appeared for that search term in the past year.

Since this is in the SEO section I am guessing that you're asking about the SEO competition? The competition in GAKT represents PPC competition and is not a reflection on how easy/hard it is to actually rank for the keyword.
