How accurate is data centre proxy detection?

I was playing around with this tool trying to see how accurate data centre proxy detection is and noticed something interesting.

It flagged my data centre proxies as data centre correctly.
It stated my 4G IP is not a data centre proxy correctly.
However, it incorrectly flagged my work IP as a data centre proxy (DCH).

Can someone try their work/business IP and see what they get please?

Sometimes these work IPs may be routing all traffic through a proxy in a datacenter and maybe intercepting data that way.
I know more than 1 place in my town which does that.

Some companies implemented a proxy server to tunnel all office connections to the Internet. It is to manage the traffics and protect internal network from external attack. In this case, your IP address should be detected as proxy.

If your company (building manager, etc) has a leased IP block, it could be flagged as a datacenter.

These checkers don't actually detect the facility/ISP, they simply check the name listed in the IP allocation against a predefined list of consumer ISPs. Since your company won't be on that list, it'll assume it's a datacenter instead.

Ah yep I think this is what's happened. We do lease a few IPs I believe. I imagine quite a large percentage of medium and large businesses are like this then? Would explain why we are not instantly banned when using data center proxies.
