How about this idea for a blog network?

How about this for a blog network idea.

Basically I register a bunch of domains related to whatever the niche is. I'd have a blog for each niche like finance, insurance, games etc etc etc.

Each blog would work similar to an article submission site but in blog format. Users would submit their blog post and assuming its not spam, off topic or duplicate content then it would go straight to the front page. To encourage people to actually submit content I would allow do-follow backlinks. To submit the content you would go to a different site, that way the blog network doesn't appear to be like an article directory or something like that. It just appears to be your average everyday blog. I could maybe make this site invite only.

In the end, my blog networks would get unique content and the people submitting content would get relevant do follow backlinks. Win-win situation.

Good idea, except that there's already too much competition. It would be no better than goarticles or ezinearticles as the content would be the same garbage quality of people just wanting to post their links out there.

True, but it would be more difficult for google to penalize hundreds of blogs. Especially if they appear to be genuine. I'd obviously moderate all the really spam type of stuff and have clear rules on whats accepted and not accepted.

With goarticles or ezinearticles, google knows these are article submission directories so they can put a -50 google serp penalty for anything coming from those sites.

Obviously, google could do the same to these blogs (they could do it to any website) but would be more difficult since many blog style article sites don't really exist. Also many strategies could be employed to make sure the blog network stays under the radar. Such as limiting the number of posts per day, creating new blogs with their own unique domain name as the number of articles increases. That way google would constantly have to penalize each domain. Plus many different methods could be applied. It would be a cat and mouse game for google.

I think to say ezine is filled with garbage is a bit over the top, especially considering their incredibly long winded review process.

As for the idea, it's just a social news site in a blog format, which are already available for the vast majority of niches, newsboiler for example covers tech, gaming, football, movies, anime and some others.

I think the process could work for an emerging niche that you can see some blogs rising in. Say you found a niche people are submitting a lot of content to recently, a social news site for that would be a good idea if there isn't one already, but for already saturated niches like financial, games, etc. You'd have an impossible task on your hands, i mean those 2 for examples are topped by PR7-9's first page for basically every related keyword.

True but I don't think you are understanding the entire concept of this idea fully.

Yes, there are social bookmarking/news type of sites but this idea is quite different. The idea of this network is for people to submit their articles with the idea that they will get backlinks in exchange for that article. The social blog sites don't allow people to easily submit their articles. If your link is crap then it just dies or gets deleted. Here is the difference between those pr7-9 blogs and my idea. For the little guy they will never ever get their article/links featured on those blogs unless they pay hundreds of dollars. Where as my site openly accepts their articles as long as its not blatant spam (ie. articles about how to make your ding dong bigger). Likewise, my blog network will allow all the link juice to be pushed back to the authors links. So if lots of people share/link to the blog post then all the link juice obtained from all of that backlinking gets pushed directly to the author's site.

I'd probably start with 10 blogs from 10 of the most popular categories (business, finance, games etc). and let people post articles to each of the blogs. As the amount of the submissions increases I can create more blogs to handle the demand.

For me, i get the potential advertising revenue and for the article writers they get free promotion and do follow backlinks. Its a win-win. Plus as these blogs get more popular and gain PR its even better. How many places can you go to and get your article posted on the front page of a pr 3-4 blog for free? None.

There is no idea like this out there yet. It isn't like digg, it isn't like reddit, it isn't like boilerroom.

Well i'd like a PM when you're ready i can fire across some content for the backlinks of course, but seriously check out the newsboiler network n4g.c0m for example does something very similar (although not totally the same)

I like the idea, but once you take off you'll need an army of reliable mods to keep up the quality.

Don't worry I'll make an official post when I get the system set up, its going to be invite only. Oh and I've checked out n4g, its nothing like my idea. First off, you can't chose the anchor text for your links and you can't put actual links in the article. Also most of the articles aren't even hosted on the site, they're hosted on the other site. On my blog network the article will be on my blogs and you'll be able to put do follow backlinks into the article to whatever site you want with whatever anchor text you want.

I like the idea, but once you take off you'll need an army of reliable mods to keep up the quality.

Your idea is really perfect and all you need is to have an excellent designs & quality content because this is the only possible way with the help of which you can gain profits and profits..

But do you really think, with tons do follow links going out,are we really gonna get any quality backlink?
It would just be like an auto approve wp blog with 1000's of spammy comments.

Not really worried. Hopefully other people will naturally link/share the articles that way the articles will get backlinks. I could also use some of the advertising revenue to hire seo people to build links to the site.

Also yes you will get quality backlinks. It'll be like if some blog wrote an article about your site. Which lets face it, with all the updates google is doing to beat content farms millions of links from those content farms are getting devalued and as a result getting links from places that aren't viewed as content farms by google will be more valuable. In fact, it will be absolutely essential for your seo strategy.

Here is my idea for the general set up: 10 blogs that post 10 quality articles each day. Each article has 3 links max and I'll put 10 articles on the front page for 24 hours. After that your article goes on to its own page where only your 3 backlinks will be displayed. I'll police the site so no other outbound links show up except your backlinks. No need to worry about spam comments, it'll be impossible to inject your obl from posting comments. Likewise, im going to make it very easy for people to link to these articles and share them. So if your article goes viral or whatever and thousands of people link to it. Then all of the link juice will go straight to your links! Also the blogs will look like 100% real blogs so it will be difficult for google to ban these blogs.

Since I can only post 100 articles per day the site is going to be invite only so I can probably only accept maybe 200 people. It'll be like a top secret underground blog network. Overtime, the blogs will boost up in PR and then you'll be really happy you joined. Normally you would have to PAY other blogs to post your article and theres no guarantee that they will actually hold up their bargain of the promise after you pay.
