I don't mess around too much with brandable domains though. I prefer domains that are more usable in the near term, for this you want to make sure that the content history and backlinks are on point. A high stat domain with a few hundred clean backlinks and good stats will be much easier to sell, imo. There are always buyers for powerful domains, more so than for brandable domains where you need the right buyer to get a profit from it.

I agree. Competition is very high right now, especially for expired domains with good quality characteristics and metrics.
