I feel it's a nice feature, but personally it may cause many to ONLY fool around instead of partially fool around in our Lounge.

Don't see what a feature like that would accomplish.
There already is to many retards posting shit here all days long and with an too-easy-to-access chat the same would happen with the chat.
If you want the chat to be web based you can always download a IRC plugin for your browser or use Mibbit.com
