how a total n00b is making money

To anyone who has the answer:

Is there any reason to be concerned that Twitter could identify that the IP you are using is coming through a proxy and then ban you based on that fact alone?

i think if you read from page 1, which isn't hard to do considering there is 5 pages. you can pick up on some stuff.

but ill go ahead and answer what i can.

1. Get a twitter account. build up the followers list. 500+ would be recommended i guess.
(make sure account is 60 days old)
2. sign up on ST with the twitter account.
3. wait till you get offers. accept the offers and start spreading the link to other twitter accounts.

I must admit that I hate social networks, but are an excellent launch pad, then I'm afraid I'll have to register.
Unfortunately I'm reading this forum in a partial (due to the connection - 4 minutes to read a page -_-).

I'm wondering the exact same thing!

I have signed up 4 days ago. Chose the 10 most popular tags. My followers is at 2490. I set my price at 0.98. I figured that I'll increase it by .49 for every 1000 followers I get. When I get to 3000 followers, then I'll increase my price to 1.47.

On the 2nd day, I got an offer. Wrote the tweet and the advertiser accepted. Made 0.98. I tweeted the link on another account with 2500 followers as well. Then I lowered my price to .49 to see if my offers will increase. Haven't received another offer since.

I'm planning on purchasing the Pro version of Tweet Attacks to build up my followers and to create several more accounts and get lots of followers for those as well.

I'm going to use Proxies, but I am confused about why Proxies will work. Think of how many other people that will be using the same Proxies as you are. Wouldn't that mean that your Twitter Account will be tied to every other persons Twitter Account that is using the same Proxy? If one person gets banned, then every other Twitter Account using that proxy will be banned as well?

Unless you are using Private proxies. Where you are the only user. Any idea where you can get private proxies?

Here is a suggestion for everyone using this method. If you are earning more than $50 a day, then you should withdraw funds once a day into your Paypal Account. If you are earning less than $50 a day, then withdraw to your Paypal Account as soon as you get to $50. The reason? Because you are going against the TOS of the Sponsored Tweets program when you post the same Tweet to your other Twitter Accounts, if it is a ppc tweet. The less that you keep in your Sponsored Tweets account, then the less that you will lose if your methods are ever found out and your account gets suspended. Once they pay you through Paypal, they can not take those funds back!

I have a question when you Tweet the link to your other accounts. Do you remove the "sponsored" part from your tweet? Anyone familiar with the Sponsored Tweets program will recognize the link as being a sponsored tweet. You would risk someone reporting your tweet if the "sponsored" part is not there (IMO). But what about if you use bit.ly? Will the referrer show up as bit.ly or would it still show up as Twitter?

How do you set your pricing? Do you have a set price that you will charge for every 1000 followers that you get? And then increase your price accordingly for every additional 1000 followers that you get?

Also, do you find that you start getting more offers after you start completing offers? Meaning, when you first sign up, you have zero stats. Nobody knows you. When you start completing offers, then you have some stats that other advertisers can use to gauge your performance.

I'm sure that I'll have some other questions.

I figured I'd throw in my two cents so far. If you can (or if you earn enough) I recommend investing in TweetAttacks PRO and something like Proxy Switcher PRO if you want to make this method a lot easier. I can't say for sure how much I'll make yet since I'm in the starting stages of making more accounts / followers / learning what people will click and so on.

But one thing that's certain is I've cut my time drastically using those programs. It took me all night to set up a few accounts and add followers and I just did the same thing an hour ago in 20 minutes

Will a VPN connection provide the same service as a proxy server?

I've been using Proxy Switcher Pro (cracked or serial can't remember) and now it's started saying invalid key, buy the Pro version and won't let me update proxies, or connect to the ones I had I can't click on Follo.org's follow buttons when going through HideMyAss.com

Out of interest, how many people are people adding per day and getting away with?

I'm starting to make a few bucks but I wanted to get the opinion of everyone else.

First off...I'm being safe barely adding people and unfollowing. Can someone maybe help out with more generalized numbers? I know not to go overboard from the thread. But I'm thinking I can add a lot more off the bat. Especially for new accounts. So clarification from a nice member would be great!

Secondly, the big part. The actual tweeting portion. What are you guys doing in that aspect? At first I was tweeting stuff I stumbledUpon and than throwing my link in now and than. (hinting at dirty things with a sexy profile pic did wonders by the way!)

Should I stick to finding someone and scraping tweets or what? How about posting the same tweets on all of my accounts (aside from my main one). Do you guys try and keep followers or is the goal to keep getting new ones?

The follow/unfollow numbers can be hard to figure. I've followed 500-1000 on pretty new accounts before using tweepml and never had a problem, but had problems following less with TA. I think it was due to not spreading the IP around enough, so be sure to use proxies. I'm somewhat new to scraping tweets so I have just been hitting sites with quotes, news, etc. I've been using the scraped tweets on the main account, then later repeating them on the other accounts using socialoomph. I'm wondering about tweeting the same thing to multiple accounts at the same time could lead to issues. Its a pain in the ass to choose a different time for each one when you can bulk select the accounts.

I'm going to experiment with the following tonight a little on a new account. I've been using proxies so I should be fine! I'm guilty of logging onto the same IP at times on accident though. But all creations and following of accounts are their own IP's.

I'm going to see what happens after 1500 follows later on! I was thinking the same as well about the tweets though.

Just something I read...might of been here, i can't remember. But they say people are more likely to read a retweet apparently.

I think I may try the scraping websites though once I find a few good ones. That and comedians as well. I'm actually asking a few of my female friends what they read so I can get an idea. Maybe I can find a few magazines with the text selectable.

I actually have TA so I use that.

I am having one problem though, and that's with SocialOomph. Doesn't seem to post my stuff all the time /sigh Maybe it's just overloaded.

Any idea if we need a proxy when we use those websites by the way? Maybe you have an idea Conduct. I only used a proxy when I use TA :X

i might test twitter again, i seem to find twitter traffic hard to monitize.

Seems for me that socialoomph only posted the scheduled update with the link for the first account listed when they had the same time. However on my scraped tweets without links it posted them all fine when they were scheduled at the same time.

its not hard to convert once you know then twitter mindset ie.. They are link clickers and video watcher. Organic traffic are cpa filler outers etc
