There's a common saying that "there's no such thing as bad publicity" because both positive and negative attention can bring popularity to a particular project. This phrase comes to mind after Binance owner CZ publicly called out a new project called Test (TSTBSC) on X for using Binance's logo without authorization. Barely hours after CZ's statement, a large number of traders jumped on the bandwagon, and the project's market capitalization skyrocketed to over $168.40 million. According to the project's whitepaper, TSTBSC is a test MEME coin on the BNB Chain, initially launched and tested through the four.meme platform. As I write this, several exchanges, including Bitget, have listed it this morning.
It's intriguing to wonder whether CZ intentionally created this exposure for the project. Considering its solid appearance, is it advisable to invest?WhatsApp Image 2025-02-10 at 13.45.01_74aaf29a.jpg

People say the same thing with some projects, but now the projects are the top and doing well.

If you were losing every time, it wouldn't be a very good casino, would it?

Maybe there are some projects that deserve some success. But if a project is getting traction because somebody is criticizing them for intellectual property infringement, that's not a good sign for the whole ecosystem as a whole.

While it's true that some projects face criticism early on but eventually rise to the top, it’s important to differentiate between genuine innovation and projects that gain attention for the wrong reasons, like intellectual property disputes. Platforms like Bitget and others, for instance, have managed to thrive by focusing on transparency, security, and user trust, which are key factors for long-term success in the crypto space. Criticism can be constructive, but projects that rely on controversy or shortcuts often struggle to sustain their growth. The ecosystem needs more projects that prioritize integrity and real value creation.

He has already dissociated himself from that coin after which there was major correction in the coin.

Its clear that lot of reputable Individuals interest in memecoin has been growing once a memecoin gets involves with a big player in this case, the unauthorized use of Binance's logo sparked discussions and brought TSTBSC into the spotlight leading to increase in capitalization.

After seeing CZ to tweet about it, I thought the coin is on his radar and want to jump on the train, I saw Bitget listing late if not I would have also risk what I can afford to lose, it might not be late but won't want to take the risk.
