Hotels Affiliate, Conversion Rate

I'm maybe asking to much here but I would love to see the conversion rates in sales of some of your guys affiliate sites, preferably with Hotels and/or Flights, I ran some math with CPC stats and money spent monthly on advertising with a Conversion rate of 5% and it was very profitable, what do you think a realistic conversion rate would be?

Sorry cant help you with stats but......from experience the conversion rates on hotel affiliate sites has been less than poor for me. I've just this week started to try hotels combined to see how that works out as it pays for clicks as well as conversions. still weighing up if I should add flights affiliates but my gut instinct is this would be a waste unless I had a targeted flight comparison site.

A hell of competition mate, work it for many months + investiment or you won't get enough for living

Also remember with a lot of hotel affiliate programs you get paid only once the travel has happened. So if someone buys a hotel in Vegas for labor day you won't be getting that check until September... or more like September + Net 30

Thanks for your help guys, I was going to get the traffic mainly from Adwords, get a $100 voucher and the domain and see if I can get anything from it. Its a summer project and if I get my money back from the voucher then I will definatly look at putting money into it.
