Newbie here loving the wealth of info on this site! Quick question, I was thinking of a getting an account with terapeak to help me gather some data on whats been hot lately on ebay...anyone have any experience with this site? and is it worthwhile? Thanks
to answer your question: Terapeak is worth it, but stay focused there it a lot of info in there and losing sight of what your looking for can waste a lot of time
make sure the product has a high profit margin... so much competition and cheap sellers on ebay its hard to compete with them... plus all the stupid fees involved with ebay and paypal eat right into your margin...
With regard to TrustedFire's post, remember to change the link accordingly f you're in the UK or anywhere other than USA. Popular searches are different on each site, for example the .co.uk version's top search was sofa when i looked, whereas the USA one was router.
Once you start to walk down the Ebay / Paypal path you are already on a loosing path. Ebay / Paypal will shit on you whether you do anything wrong or not. There are far better ways to make money online without becoming the latest Paypal mug.
I would suggest you pick an eBay category then narrow it down by clicking some of the filters on the left. Now click the "Completed Listings" link and do a little manual research and see what items are selling the most. As your going through the list and finding items, be sure and copy them down in a notepad file for more extensive research later.
Do some research on Amazon and start selling on there along with eBay. If you really hate selling on these sites the other option would be to sign up for all the other smaller auction and marketplace sites and start selling on all of them.
