I was going to go for hostgator, but I changed my mind cause of this thread. Hostwinds here we go :)

I have been with hostwinds from the start. Peter is a really nice guy.
I have referred so many people to hostwinds in all the months...
Really hope hostwinds stays in excellent condition as it is now!
 
i prefer hostwinds as well .. having used a few different companies in the past, peter @ hostwinds is always on skype or available for my phone call if i need his assistance with something. Its the little things that i appreciate :P
 
hmmm... i've been with hostgator and they have fantastic support, features and reliability but I think for the sake of it I might give hostwinds a look into for the future.

remember the saying "never put all your eggs in one basket"

Although cheap is good but you have to look at it's uptime as well. One thing i would like to confirm is, is hostwinds a one man team company or a company with plenty of staffs?

Everybody knows that that only monitors their corporate website, we are working with pingdom to roll out a public accountability system for ALL of our servers so we can get better an giving out free months if we don't meet our uptime guarantee, how many host do you know who do that?
 
I just bought Hostwinds domains and hosting. I submit a ticket with my question. I really got good support directly from CEO Peter. There are 4 hours time different, so he called me directly to solve it. Thanks for his service and support.

BS, i work with Hostwinds, and Peter and his support team are really great and really helped me a lot while a was a green noob, and also now when i need something mostly into minutes i get replies from them.
 
Damn, hostwinds prices are way legit. I might be trying them out in the near future.

LOL Same happened to me, I just said that they don't look very professional and that after a bit of research it does look to be a 1 man team with 1 server.

Im probably going to loose more rep for this. Since the guy running hostwinds must have 5-10 accounts just so he can rave about himself and Rep people.

SOMETHING SOUNDS TOO FISHY WITH THEM.

I'm a customer of hoswinds for months now ! And everything has been more than smooth

THeir support is very reactive ! And i have several hosting plans at their house.

Hostwinds is a great service that i would recommand to anyone !

LOL, I've never heard of Hostwinds, and hostgator is too big to be compared to a thing like hostwinds.
 
I'm getting those messages to inbox cause im subscribed to this thread for some reason. It's very annoying as you don[t have a clue what you talk about. But hostwinds is good just because its not so big as hostgaytor, and you can get personal everything. And that's why also hostwinds is sooo good for us with our "non-standard" projects ;)

how about the plan for hostwind? Hostwind Ultimate Basic is ok?

because i read somewhere that hostwind is better when it comes to business plan.. i just don't know..
 
I have 50 autoblogs running on hostwinds VPS level 6..

I also have a client running his local newspaper site getting 1000 unique impressions a day on his site running on the same vps aint aint had a hiccup.. whenever i have a dumb question peter at hostwinds is there for me.. if I were gay I would blow the guy.
 
Until now there are people here that ae agains hostwinds and don't know what are the talking about. On the other hand you see some happy customers that are extremely happy and you can clearly see they are not bots. LOL
