Hostwinds Bad Experience

So after 2 times got down this month, i received email saying that my domain has pishing link.. This domain was hacked by hacker weeks ago and added stupid files.. (that's not my fault)

A week ago i downloaded important files and thinking to not use this domain again.. Because this domain made my server exceed max disk capacity too fast.. This is because of added files by hacker..

They sent me email an hour ago told to reply within 24 hours.. then 5 minutes later i got another email that my server was suspended..

How stupid they are? I'm with them for over a year and paying $50+++ a month

I lost traffic and money to the other sites..

I really need urgent suggestion which vps hosting the best based on your experience.. And i hope they re-enable my server because i lost all the files..

Use DigitalOcean + Serverpilot.

I have been recommending them for all my clients and manages dozens of servers for my clients.

And it even gives you a spike on your load times. The servers are blazing fast.
 
If you pay peanuts, be prepared to be served by monkeys. There is no cheap hosting that also offer excellent service. Hosting comes at a price.
 
What about webuzo? Anyone tried it before? And what about my files on hostwinds? Since all sites were down, if i move to new host, can i get back all the files?

I'm contacting Digital ocean now.. Heard of them years ago but since they got no chat support, i pass them.. This time gonna give a try
 
Have you tried Witedtree, but pricey but worth the money. Support is very responsive and friendly.
 
I am also learnt a lesson. Dont go for cheap in case with webhosting.

This one made me LOL. I always say that people expect gold service for dirt prices. We have to be able to make money to be in business, people have to remember that

I am really sorry that you have had some problems.

First off can you get me a ticket #, I would love to look further into this.

Secondly, if you were suspended for phishing this would mean there is an active phishing scam going on, right now with your server!

This is not something we can just ignore, we work very hard to ensure our clients are happy, Server security, however, is your responsibility.

We are more than happy to assist you in any way that we can, and in many cases we will only suspend the website assocaited with the phishing scam, once again I would like the ticket # so that I can look into this and get you some more information.
 
go with a ovh dedicated server
i got one with more than 600 days uptime
 
Can't agree more with the said from HostWinds.
If there is any phishing activity going on, they have the right and the point to suspend your account.

Your websites are under your responsibility.

We don't enjoy phishing :)

If your websites was hacked and infected then you should hire someone to clean them . Of course HostWinds could help you with this.
 
It's bad experience for you, OP. Perhaps something went wrong with support team.

If you ask me, my personal experience with hostwinds has been 100% positive.
I am not a techie and anything beyond publishing with MS Front Page is a mystery to me. The folks at this web host answer my questions quickly and fix any problems.

Prices are really good, hosting is just INCREDIBLE in features.
 
Well, if it is the only trouble and due to security reasons and staff even replied here I hope everything will be fixed and solved in near future. Don't see necessity to move.
 
As I see all your problems are solved very quickly and I see no reasons of moving elsewhere.
Just my point of view.
