My friend also faced similar issue. But it was not fault of hosting. His site suffered from attack and then he lost all rankings. Blogging is very unreliable these days.

I don't joke with backup. My backup is more important to me than the main data.

It happened to me. Well, not exactly, but I moved from an expensive shared hosting to a VPS at the same price, and it's slower. Then, you're at fault, too. You should have made backups.
